Strategic College Guidance
Built for STEM Students

A multi-year design process — not a senior-year task list.

COLLEGE GUIDANCE

Our Strategy

STEM admissions require more than strong grades and general application advice.

Students pursuing mathematics, science, engineering, computer science, or medicine need thoughtful academic planning, meaningful intellectual depth, and activities that develop with purpose over time.

We help students build a coherent trajectory through course selection, STEM enrichment, competitions, research, independent projects, leadership, and summer planning.

Our approach is not about creating a résumé. It is about helping students grow into strong, curious, capable applicants with a clear sense of direction.

COLLEGE GUIDANCE

Who We Serve

Our students are often:

  • Strong performers in mathematics, science, and technology courses
  • Interested in engineering, computer science, medicine, biotechnology, quantitative finance, or scientific research
  • Considering advanced coursework such as AP, IB, dual enrollment, or academic competitions
  • Looking for guidance on research, independent projects, coding, entrepreneurship, or technical extracurricular activities
  • Seeking a thoughtful long-term strategy rather than last-minute application advice

While many students aspire to highly selective universities, our focus is not prestige alone. We help each student identify colleges that align with their academic interests, goals, and learning style.

Foundation and direction planning
GRADE 9

Foundation & Direction Intensive

Most students do not need ongoing college counseling in Grade 9.

This is a year for exploration, growth, and building strong academic habits. Rather than focusing on admissions strategy, students should be discovering their interests, challenging themselves academically, and becoming involved in activities they genuinely enjoy.

How It Flows

This engagement includes two planning meetings with parent and student—3 hours total—covering academics, course selection, extracurricular involvement, and summer opportunities. The goal is to help students start high school thoughtfully and avoid common mistakes.

Post-Meeting Support: Includes email support for quick, occasional questions regarding the recommendations provided in your summary. For ongoing guidance or major profile changes, families may choose to transition into our Grade 10 package.

Included

  • Two meetings with parent and student (3 hours total)
  • Academic planning and course-selection guidance
  • Discussion of interests and extracurricular exploration
  • Summer planning recommendations
  • Summary with personalized recommendations and next steps
  • Up to 3 asynchronous email check-ins during the academic year for follow-up questions
Direction and depth planning
GRADE 10

Direction & Depth

Tenth grade is the transition year. Students are no longer just exploring — they are beginning to build depth. Academic choices start to shape future options, and activities should show progression rather than randomness.

This package moves your student from broad exposure to intentional profile development. Our five meetings are strategically timed around key sophomore milestones to ensure proactive planning.

How It Flows

Meeting 2 (Winter): Academic Performance Review & Mid-Year Adjustments

Meeting 3 (Early Spring): Advanced Course Selection & Curriculum Planning

Meeting 4 (Late Spring): Summer Enrichment & Resume Building

Meeting 5 (End of Year): Sophomore Year Wrap-Up & Junior Year Preview

Included

  • Academic planning and course-selection guidance

JUNIOR–SENIOR COMPREHENSIVE

Strategy, Positioning & Full Application Execution

College admissions is a multi-year journey. This signature, all-inclusive program bridges the critical gap between high-level strategy and final application execution. Rather than treating profile-building and application-writing as disconnected phases, we work with your student on one continuous timeline. This ensures that the authentic trajectory they build during junior year transfers seamlessly and compellingly onto their final applications.

By securing your student's spot early, we eliminate the stress of the process and ensure they cross the finish line ahead of schedule.

How It Flows

Phase 1: Profile Optimization & Strategic Positioning (Junior Winter & Spring)
Focuses on bringing your student's accumulated academic interests and extracurricular commitments together into a coherent, authentic trajectory. We perform a deep-dive audit of their existing transcript, outline a customized standardized testing timeline, map out strategic Senior year advanced course selections, and audit extracurricular profile depth while building a highly strategic, preliminary college list.

Phase 2: The Summer Essay & Application Launch (June – August)
Before the frantic senior school year begins, we launch the application process. This intensive phase centers on brainstorming and finalizing the Common Application Personal Statement, setting up all application portals, and mapping out a strict submission timeline.

Phase 3: The Autumn Execution Sprint (September – January of Senior Year)
The final stretch. We focus entirely on the heavy lifting of application execution: managing Early Action/Early Decision strategies, polishing complex supplemental essays, optimizing the activities list, and preparing for college interviews.

Included

  • Up to 26 strategically scheduled consultations mapped dynamically to the natural rhythms of the junior and senior calendar (averaging twice-monthly during active periods)
  • Transcript audit and strategic Senior year advanced course-selection guidance
  • Customized standardized testing strategy and timeline planning
  • Extracurricular and activity profile review to develop genuine leadership depth
  • Highly individualized college list development, resulting in a balanced, final target list of up to 12 schools. Any schools added to the final list beyond the maximum of 12 will incur an additional fee of $500 per college, which includes application strategy and up to 3 rounds of essay review for that institution's supplements.
  • Early Action (EA), Early Decision (ED), and Regular Decision (RD) strategic timeline planning
  • Comprehensive essay guidance: Up to 3 dedicated rounds of review and developmental feedback for the main Common App Personal Statement and all required supplemental essays for the schools on the agreed list
  • Thorough data-entry review of the Common Application (including the 150-character Activities List and Additional Information sections)
  • Two comprehensive mock interview preparation sessions
  • Ongoing access to the counselor between meetings via email for quick strategic questions and timeline accountability (48-hour response time)
